About Your Plumber Gordon

1000+ five-star reviews

Gordon is where we work, not somewhere we commute to. This site exists so a homeowner needing a plumber can reach a crew that already knows the houses, pipework and tree roots of this patch of Ku-ring-gai.

What we actually do

Everything a household plumber can be asked for, across four areas.

  • Emergency plumbing For burst pipes, overflowing toilets, hot water failures and suspected gas leaks
  • General plumbing From tap and toilet repairs through bathroom and kitchen work
  • Drainage Including camera inspections, jetting, stormwater and relining
  • Hot water Covering repair, replacement and new installs across gas, electric and instant systems

Each area has its own section on this site, written for the housing stock that actually stands here rather than generic advice lifted from a trade manual.

Why a local focus matters

A suburb built in the Federation window

Gordon railway station dates from 1888, and the streets around it grew through the Federation era, so the older homes were built in the 1890s to 1915 window on generous, leafy blocks.

Those houses carry earthenware clay drainage that has been in the ground for over a century. The mature canopy above steadily works roots into old sewer joints, and knowing that before we open a toolbox changes how we diagnose a slow gully.

Housing stock we know

Double-brick and weatherboard Federation homes, mid-century builds and the newer apartment blocks near the station and highway corridor all have different quirks. A crew that works these streets regularly has seen most of them before.

How we run the business

We are licensed and insured, under licence #275278C, with every plumber on the team fully qualified. The structure of every job is the same whether it is a dripping tap on a Sunday or a sewer blockage on a Tuesday:

  • $0 call out fee Getting a licensed plumber to your door costs nothing.
  • Fixed written price before any work begins No hourly billing, no estimates that grow once the van arrives.
  • Lifetime Labour Warranty If our workmanship is not right, we come back and make it right. No questions, no cost.

That structure is deliberate. Plumbing is invasive work in people's homes, and most complaints in this trade trace back to bills that moved after the quote. Removing that possibility entirely is the whole idea.

Who we built this for

The long-held family home

Mostly owner-occupied households, at the last census the pattern locally. Many families have held their homes for decades, and those long-held houses often run hot water systems well past their design life. Those owners want honest advice about repair versus replacement, not the answer that generates the biggest invoice.

Everyone else on the ridge

Renters, downsizers in the station-side apartments and renovated homes on flexi hoses all call us too.

The common thread is wanting a straight answer and a fixed price from a crew that will still be working these streets next year.
